3/25 10-1, Mouthy Mugs W/ Lita Clay, All Levels
Join Elise Goitia for a fun dive into how to add some sass to your mug.
We will be providing premade mug bodies for you to design and personalize. Elise will show you how to craft clean letters, extrude a handle, create a small flower and attach it all to your mug for a vessel to match your personality perfectly.
You get to pick out of our studio dip glazes and the the Glazed staff will load your creation into the kiln for it to be picked up after all the firings are done.
All materials and firing cost is included.
What you learn:
Elise’s method for adding words onto premade mugs (we throw them, you pick one)
How to extrude and attach a handle
Making a small flower to add to your creation
Learn about Elise’s clay journey and what it's like to be a professional potter
These classes are set up on a really tight schedule and late students make the class harder for everyone else. Please keep in mind traffic can be wacky and reference our parking guide in our confirmation email for how to best locate the studio. Please show up on time, or even a little early ;).
Feel free to bring drinks and snacks, you must be 21+ to drink alcohol and no glass containers. Please note masks are not mandatory in the studio but any one is welcome to wear them, we also can set up a work table set back a bit for the purposes of social distancing. Please email or call with any questions or concerns: Garnet (970)749-4781 garnet.glaze@gmail.com
*A 6-person minimum is required to run the class, if we do not meet the minimum we will reach out and let you know the class has been canceled, or try to find a time to reschedule.
Pick up time is 1 month after date of class and you have one month to pick your pot up, please take a photo of your item with the glaze color visible to keep for pick up. Putting a reminder in your calendar is a really good way to ensure you don’t forget, we do not send out reminders. You can find your pottery on the shelf below the unicorn head.
We are open Monday-Thursday 5:30-8pm and Sundays 12-5pm for pick up (Sundays are best!). We keep pots for 2 months after initial class date, after which they may be donated, sold or used for an event.
