Open Studio & AOSH

Open Studio is Wednesdays 3-8pm, Thursdays 12-5pm and Sundays 12-5pm.* If you are in the Wednesday night class, you are welcome to do open studio hours on Monday from 5-8pm.

Classes come with 4 hours of open studio a week, must be attended during open studio times.

If you have taken 1 class and are continuing as a student, you are welcome to apply for Alternative Open Studio Hours. AOSH includes a door code that gives 24/7 access and 2 extra hours of open studio time a week (6 hours of open studio + class time). You must be a confident in your use of the studio without supervision or help.

*During open studio the north door with the key pad is the only one unlocked. On Wednesdays and Thursdays the doors are not always open, please text Garnet (970)749-4781 if the door is locked. Sunday is the only open studio which is staffed.

Only current students and members at Glazed are allowed to use open studio hours, we do not have public drop in access.

Please allow for 15 min of clean up at the end of your slot and make sure your wheel, space, clay, tools etc. are cleaned up and put away.

Alternative Open Studio Hours (AOSH)

We are excited for you to continue your journey with us as you grow and learn more about ceramics. We have created this option of alternative open studio hours for folks who still love learning in class, but want more flexible open studio time and are confident in their use of the studio without supervision and are prepared to close down and lock up the studio by themselves.

What does this mean? You are ready to be more independent but are still wanting to stay in a class for more knowledge, a standard time you show up to the studio and/or enjoy the social aspect of it.

What do you need to do?

• Fill out the AOSH form below to be considered.

• Wait for us to email you back, this may take a week or two.

• Once you have received an email, you will get a link to sign up for a AOSH/membership orientation (one time $25). These run the 4th or 5th week of every session. You may start your AOSH hours the following session. You must currently be in a class to use open studio and AOSH.

• First week of the session following your orientation, you can sign up for AOSH. Please pay on week one, let your instructor know that you have done orientation and have paid for AOSH, to get the door code. The door code changes each session.

• If you reach a point where you are ready to make a switch to the full membership, please fill out the membership waitlist form located here. Likely we will be able to switch you over within the next session or 2. If you have done the membership/AOSH orientation, and a currently signed up student and AOSH user, you do not have to do orientation again when you are ready to graduate into the full membership.

You must be a current student at Glazed to be able to use AOSH. You must attend an orientation before you can use AOSH. To get the door code from your instructor, you must purchase AOSH at the beginning of each class session.
